Dr. James Simpson, Assistant Professor

Jim is a coach and educator in design of experiments, quantitative analytics and statistical methods.  He served in successive appointments as professor at the US Air Force Academy and at Florida State University, and is Adjunct Professor at the Air Force Institute of Technology.  He has consulted for dozens of organizations and has taught over 250 short courses in applied statistics and experimental design.  He served as Editor, Quality Engineering journal, Chair, American Society for Quality (ASQ) Publications Management Board, and is a Fellow of ASQ.  He earned his PhD in Industrial Engineering, from Arizona State University and an MS in Operations Research from the Air Force Institute of Technology.
