Dr. William A. Cunningham Iii, PhD
Department Head
Dr William A. Cunningham III is the Department Head and Professor of Logistics and Supply Chain Management in the Department of Operational Sciences, Air Force Institute of Technology. Prior to joining the faculty at AFIT, he was a faculty member at The University of South Alabama, where he was also the Director of the Center for Waterways Research. He was also a faculty member at the University of Memphis, and was director of the Transportation Research Center. He has served on the board of directors of several industry groups in transportation.
He is currently on the editorial review board of The Journal of Transportation Management and is an examiner for the Certified in Transportation and Logistics professional certification by the American Society of Transportation and Logistics, and was the founding editor of the Waterways and Transportation Review. He has served on the board of directors of several industry groups in transportation.
