Cedarville, Ohio—Air Force Institute of Technology alumnus Dr. Harwood Hegna recently received the Cedarville University (Ohio) Faculty Advisor Award. This award is presented based on at least six years of service with significant influence on students as an academic advisor, class advisor, career counselor, or student organization advisor.
A faculty member at Cedarville University since 1992, Hegna serves as professor of mechanical engineering. He earned his B.S.A.E., M.S.A.E., and M.S.M.E. from the University of Minnesota in 1969, 1971, and 1973, respectively. He then went on to earn his Ph.D. from the Air Force Institute of Technology in 1981. Hegna, a registered professional engineer, currently resides in Beavercreek, Ohio.
