I welcome you to Graduate School of Engineering and Management at the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT). We are focused on providing exceptional defense-focused research-based graduate education. AFIT represents a collection of like-minded scholars, students, researchers, and administrators dedicated to sustaining the intellectual superiority of the defense programs of the United States. Our geographical location and proximity to the Air Force Research Lab (AFRL) offer a critical mass of defense-focused researchers. We are committed to graduate instructional and research programs in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) areas. We execute these programs on a platform of technical management offerings. Thus, we technically manage what we engineer. We invite prospective students, sponsors, researchers, and collaborators to explore what we have to offer.
As a testimony to our world-class accomplishments, our faculty members have averaged about three patents per year over the past few years. Our research teams have developed products that have gone up in experiments on the space shuttle. We have developed an organic satellite product that will feature in future defense programs in space. Our cyber research center of excellence is preparing future leaders for the cyber warfare of the future. For 100 years, AFIT has contributed directly to the success of missions of the US Air Force and the Department of Defense. All our academic and research programs are judiciously designed to be in a direct alignment with US Air Force and Department of Defense priorities. Our multidisciplinary graduate instructional and research engagements create a fertile avenue for all facets of research and instructional collaborations. I invite you to cruise this website and stop by to see what we do in addressing the emerging technical challenges facing our nation and our allies. Yes, you are, indeed, very welcome.
