Student Operations Specialist

Summary: The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the primary point of direct student support reporting to the Registrar and Director of Student Operations. This position provides educational administrative support for all Graduate School students providing in depth assistance in areas of admissions, registration, student service, or scheduling.
Instructor of Engineering Management

Summary: The primary purpose of this position is to develop and provide professional continuing education (PCE) in the area of engineering management to military officers and senior civilian employees in the Civil Engineer career field.
Instructor of Contracting

Summary: The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a subject-matter expert authority for contracting on the resident faculty, performing a wide variety of duties and responsibilities encompassing as a course director and coordination of a group of faculty carrying out instruction, curriculum development, administration, research, and consultation as required. Serves as the focal point and subject-matter expert within AFIT/LSB for the most current information and policy changes in subject area.
Assistant/Associate/Professor of Aerospace Engineering

Assistant/Associate/Professor of Aerospace Engineering

Summary: Performs Assistant/Associate/Professor of Aerospace Engineering (Spacecraft Design and/or Controls) duties in the Department of Aeronautics & Astronautics in the Graduate School of Engineering & Management at AFIT.

Assistant/Associate/Professor of Nuclear Engineering
Closing Date: 3 Apr 23
Summary: Performs faculty duties in the Department of Engineering Physics in the Graduate School of Engineering and Management at AFIT. Develops and teaches a wide range of courses in nuclear engineering ranging from the introductory graduate level to the most advanced doctoral level over subject areas to include nuclear physics, nuclear weapons, nuclear weapon effects, and nuclear nonproliferation. Applies basic computational and experimental techniques used in nuclear engineering/nuclear physics to defense technologies such as military weapons, weapons of mass destruction, nuclear detection, and nuclear nonproliferation.
*This is a tenure track position.

The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine administers postdoctoral and senior research awards at the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), the U.S. Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT), and the U.S. Air Force Academy (USAFA) under the Air Force Science & Technology Fellowship Program (AF STFP).
We are actively seeking highly qualified candidates including recent doctoral recipients and senior researchers.
