As CIO of Leidos, a $5 billion national security, health, and infrastructure solutions company, Miner has led his share of turnarounds. Among his many lessons learned, Miner found that organizational design is key to success.    In the article he reflects on principles by which he leads organizations: start by listening, 'paving the cow path', let resource managers allocate, set the culture, prioritize family, remove layers, and make the necessary cuts.
