Lt Col Paul A. Cancino (M.S. Logistics & Supply Chain Management, 2010) was named the 2017 Air Education and Training Command Outstanding Logistics Readiness Field Grade Officer of the year.
Winning this award is acknowledgement and praise for Cancino’s outstanding accomplishments as the commander of the 82nd Logistics Readiness Squadron at Sheppard AFB TX. In this role he commands 150 personnel in support of the Air Force’s largest technical training mission. From October 2016 through September 2017, Cancino integrated a $27.5M logistics support contract, boosted AEF readiness for 2 Wings by preparing 3,000 military personnel with a phenomenal 98.6% accuracy reporting average in 5 categories…finishing #2 of 14 AETC bases, and his team was number one in the Air Force with 49,000 POL transactions - pumping 14 million gallons to the second busiest military airfield worldwide, fueling14 NATO nations and more than 50,000 sorties.
