Advanced Cyber Education (ACE) Course

 Important Dates:
- Application submission dates: 2018 application process closed. 
- 2018 ACE students announced: Rolling admissions. Final selection list 10 April 2018.
- Program dates: 9 July - 2 August 2018 (Arrive 8 July and depart 3 August)

Location: Wright-Patterson, AFB in Dayton, Ohio at AFIT/Center for Cyberspace Research

Who Should Apply?:
ACE is open to Academy and ROTC cadets between their junior and senior years (or higher) in college and majoring in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering or other cyber related fields*. Students must be contracted cadets in good standing in their detachment, must be U.S. citizens and must carry at least a 2.75 GPA. Students will need to apply for a secret clearance when notified of acceptance into the program. Army cadets POC listed below.

*Cadets not majoring in the programs above or in non-cyber related fields will be considered on a space available basis.

Cadets must discuss application into the ACE program with their detachment leadership prior to applying. A commander's recommendation letter will be required during the application process.

Course Overview:
Advanced Cyber Education (ACE) program is a four week course that takes place during the undergraduate academic summer break at the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT). The program consists of an instructional component, cyber war exercises, and cyber officer development days that focus on the study of cyber and its unique leadership challenges.

The objective of the ACE program is to develop the next generation of cybersecurity leaders through an intense program that immerses students in the cybersecurity discipline while educating them on becoming future military leaders. This program covers a wide variety of cybersecurity related disciplines to develop original thinkers and technical leaders who can solve real-world problems in the area of cybersecurity.
