The High Energy Laser Consolidated Modeling Engagement Simulation (HELCOMES) is a DEJTO Code is developed and maintained by Scientific Applications International Corporation (SAIC). HELCOMES is a multi-faceted end-to-end directed energy engagement simulation that runs in a Java environment. HELCOMES is anchored to wave optics, runs on a PC, and has an integrated Users Guide and Help function. Over the past years, HELCOMES has been dramatically transformed. This transformation was necessary to address the needs of the community. Ease of use, flexibility and extensibility were addressed. One of the most important aspects to the improvements of HELCOMES is extensibility, allowing the user the ability to incorporate specific atmospheric profiles that are not included in the base version and to import engagements that may have been generated elsewhere. HELCOMES is distributed through the Directed Energy Engineering and Analysis Center (DE2AC).
