We offer three distinct courses to support your professional development. Whether you’re looking to fulfill your contracting certification prerequisites, you want to learn more about DCMA, or maybe you want to prepare yourself for an upcoming negotiation, AFIT has a course for you.
The cornerstone of our curriculum is MRC-103. This Initial Skills Training provides a comprehensive introduction to the Air Force contracting process, featuring in depth lectures, exercises, and discussions. The course is five weeks long, where the first four weeks are delivered online, and the final capstone week is taught in-residence here at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. MRC-103 not only equips you with the knowledge and skills to jumpstart your career, but also provides fulfillment for all prerequisite courses needed to obtain
your DoD Professional Contracting Certification.
SYS-120 is an elective course designed for acquisition professionals across various functional areas assigned to both DCMA and the Department of the Air Force. This course combines lecture, exercises, and guest speakers to enhance your understanding of the unique capabilities of both DCMA and the Air Force buying commands. This
two-day course is delivered both online and in-residence at many systems acquisition locations, which you can find on the course page below.
SYS-167 is the premier elective course for acquisition professionals seeking to elevate their negotiation capabilities. This course explores the psychological and motivational factors that influence negotiations and teaches strategies to foster agreement through practical application and exercises.
