When I say logistics, what comes to mind? Those career fields within the Logistics Readiness Squadron?
Well, you would be correct. But logistics is much more than that. It’s supporting a system through its lifecycle, starting from initial creation, through sustainment of a system, and finally to its disposal.
LOG 199 is 5 day introductory course, presented by AFIT in a live classroom setting, at bases around the United States and overseas. It will help broaden your basic understanding of acquisition, sustainment --which includes supply and maintenance operations -- distribution, and disposition. It will give you a high level overview of logistics relationships and inter-dependencies and provide a solid foundation of logistics doctrine and practices.
LOG 199 was designed as a survey course to develop you, the logistics workforce, early in your career, breaking you out of your functional area, and increasing your professional expertise across the entire spectrum of logistics.

We look forward to seeing you in LOG 199.
