Reference your eligibility email for program information. Some programs, even if you have eligibility, go through a selection process. Your eligibility email may have information on how program selections are made, or how to contact student services for activation into student status.
Contractors need to submit a tuition payment form to the bursar and submit an employment verification to the civilian coordinator each term prior to enrolling in classes.
DAF Civilians do not have additional forms required.
Course enrollments, also called booking, are primarily completed through the AU Learner Portal. There are various conditions that may prevent booking through the portal. All though not all-inclusive, the most common are listed below.
Not registered in a program (moved to student status) - Reference the email letter of academic eligibility for instructions. Some programs are closed and the department selects the students and notifies our office, other programs are open and the student must send an enrollment request to Student Services.
Non-Degree Status - Students in this status must get course instructor approval for every course, which requires manual booking. Please complete and submit an Add/Drop form to the registrar.
Bursar Hold - There is either money owed, or a tuition form due. Contact the Bursar for more information.
Contractor Hold - The contractor employment verification form has not been received, or not yet processed. Contact the Civilian Coordinator for more information.
Most part-time students will not require an AFIT.EDU network account. Course material is usually delivered through the Canvas system. An account is automatically created during the enrollment process. MATLAB can also be downloaded separate from the AFIT network. If you require an AFIT.EDU network account, please contact us and provide confirmation from your advisor.
