Cyberspace 300: Joint Advanced Cyberspace Operations
Cyberspace 300 Course Purpose Statement: To develop warfighter communications officers and cyberspace effects officers by enhancing their strategic mindset to articulate, integrate, and apply capabilities across full spectrum operations and joint multi-domain environments securing the competitive advantage over our nation’s adversaries.

Cyberspace 300 Course Objectives
- Apply doctrinal planning principles to communications and cyberspace operations.
- Evaluate how best to organize train & equip service communications and cyberspace forces.
- Articulate threats, risks, and opportunities within the evolving digital and operational environment.
Cyberspace 300 Course Focus Areas:
- OT&E: Differentiate roles and responsibilities of DoD organizations and how they relate to communications and cyberspace operations.
- Resources: Explain resource and requirements processes in support of communications and cyberspace capabilities.
- Operations: Analyze operational and strategic impacts of threats, risks, and opportunities in the digital and operational environment.
- Operations Environment: Explain the evolving nature of cyberspace, information warfare, and the digital and operational environment.
- Planning: Develop an operational design that incorporates communications and cyberspace capabilities and resilience with a joint multi-domain environment.
Cyberspace 300 Eligibility Criteria
(Guard and Reserve may have additional requirements)
Officer • U.S. citizen • Majors and Lt Cols with 12-15 years commissioned TIS | Enlisted • U.S. citizen • SMSgt/SMGst selects; MSgts with 14-18 TIS • Minimum 72 months of cyberspace experience | Civilian • U.S. citizen • In a cyberspace operations or acquisition position • Minimum 72 months cyberspace experience | Sister Services • U.S. citizen • Equivalent rank • In a cyberspace related position • Minimum 72 months cyberspace experience |
Per the 10 May 2024 FY25-28 Program Requirements Document (PRD), targeted USAF personnel for Cyberspace 300 are:
- 17X Active Duty
- 17X ANG
- 17X AFRC
- Cyber Civ (Per SAF CFM)
- 14N (Assigned to support cyber ops)
- 1DX (Nominated by unit commander)
The student enrollment process will prioritize attendance in this order.
- Tier 1: RegAF, AFRC and ANG 17X Officers/Warrant Officers, Cyber Civilians
- Tier 2: RegAF 14N Officers and 1DX Airmen
- Tier 3: Joint Service
Cyberspace 300 Notes
- Cyberspace 200 may not be taken after Cyberspace 300.
- Per the March 2023 17X Cybersapce Warfare operations Talent Mangement Framework document, 17X officers will wear the Master Cyber Badge after graduation of Cyberspace 300 and completion of 15 years of cyberspace operations duty.
- Students are eligible for two Joint Qualified Officer (JQO) points after graduation of Cyberspace 300
