Nuclear 250: Air Force Nuclear Concepts and Insights Course

Nuclear 250 provides lower to mid-level experienced Nuclear Mission Professionals/Airmen with a survey of concepts and insights about the nuclear enterprise, its mission, and the importance of Air Force nuclear operations and its role in providing U.S. strategic deterrence of adversaries and assurance to allies and partners.

Upon completion of the course, students will gain a substantive perspective of the Air Force nuclear enterprise and strategic deterrence mission. The intent is for students to achieve an upper-intermediate/intermediate-plus level of proficiency and broad understanding of strategic nuclear operations at the tactical to strategic levels, deterrence theory, policy, and the impact of modernization. The course may serve as a separate awareness and education offering or as a prerequisite to the in-residence Nuclear 300 course.
