New Course Catalog Course Description

COURSE: WMGT 427 Fire & Emergency Services Flight Management Course

OBJECTIVE:  To comprehend the functional responsibilities of the Assistant Fire Chief / Station Chief & Deputy Fire Chief positions and stress the relationship of the flight as a critical member of the Civil Engineer team. Provide processes, principles, and techniques to effectively manage all aspects of the Fire Emergency Services Flight.
DESCRIPTION:  This course will provide a broad range of educational training in the managerial areas of Resources, Training, Program Management, Personnel Management, Fire Prevention, and Readiness. Students will be required to complete assigned lesson homework and exercise assignments in order to graduate from this course.

CEUs: 3.0
PRIMARY AUDIENCE:  New Assistant Fire Chief (TSgt/MSgt/GS-10), New Station Captain/Chief (TSgt/GS-08/9) or New Deputy Fire Chief
SECONDARY AUDIENCE:  Fire Chief, MAJCOM Staff, AFSC specified program managers
PREREQUISITES: Fire Inspector II and Fire Officer II
