OBJECTIVE:  The main objective of this course is to give students more information and training on SMS PAVER so they can more effectively maintain their base Pavement Management System (PMS) in between inspections.

DESCRIPTION:  Students will gain foundational knowledge about what PAVER is, why we use it, and explain key terms. Additionally, students will learn how to update their pavement inventory records, update and track work history, understand the different pavement inspections, and learn how to run multiple reports to support pavement briefings or use in generating work items for maintenance and repair work. Successful completion of this course is a prerequisite for WMGT 241 PAVER 2 which will be available approximately Dec 2020.

PRIMARY AUDIENCE:  Any military, civilian, or contractor Civil Engineer personnel who will be working in SMS PAVER.

SECONDARY AUDIENCE:  Pavement management personnel from other military services.
