New Course Catalog Course Description

COURSE: WMGT 420 Engineering Flight Commanders' Course

OBJECTIVE:  For each student to understand the functional responsibilities of the Engineering Flight Chief, to comprehend the interdependency of the flight chief as a member of the base civil engineer team, and to apply functional skills and team principles to realistic problem scenarios.
DESCRIPTION:  Functional responsibilities are covered including base comprehensive planning, activity management planning, programming, design schedules, project management, contracts, and information management systems. Effective team principles are presented and students apply these principles during problem solving exercises which include realistic problem scenarios.
PRIMARY AUDIENCE:  Engineering Flight Chief and Deputy Flight Chiefs
SECONDARY AUDIENCE:  Chief of Portfolio Optimization, Chief of Project Management, CEN Flight Superintendent
PREREQUISITES: None
