Course Description

COURSE:  WENG 370 Control Systems Cybersecurity for CE Leaders

OBJECTIVE:  The objective of this course is to provide enhanced knowledge of control systems cybersecurity for civil engineers holding a leadership position. This effort is pursuant to NDAA 1650, Pilot program authority to enhance cybersecurity and resiliency of critical infrastructure.

DESCRIPTION:  This course was developed for civil engineers holding leadership positions to understand their role and responsibilities in protecting control systems against cyber-attacks. The course introduces the concepts of cybersecurity vs. cyber resiliency, highlights the evolution of cyber-attacks against control systems and outlines key responsibilities taken from recently published directives and policies. The material applies basic cybersecurity principle concepts from WENG 170 using real-world examples.

PRIMARY AUDIENCE:  Civil Engineer officers, enlisted and civilians.

SECONDARY AUDIENCE:  N/A

GRADE:   All

PREREQUISITES:  WENG 170

DELIVERY METHOD:  Online via Civil Engineering Virtual Learning Center on ADLS.
