OBJECTIVE:  Provide supply personnel with better comprehension of HTA processes and improved capabilities to account and control hazardous material issuances.

DESCRIPTION:  This training will provide overviews of EESOH-MIS HTA transactions, storage, hazard communication compliance, and inventory/shelf-life management. Hazardous materials (HM) must be appropriately tracked, stored, and maintained in a way that meets mission needs while abiding by environmental, safety, and occupational health regulations. Hazmat Tracking Activities (HTAs) provide the tracking of hazardous materials for various procurement methods on an installation. The primary HTA is typically the Logistics Readiness Squadron (LRS) HTA (formerly Hazmart). Other examples of HTAs include Civil Engineering Material Control, Medical Logistics, contract HTAs (servicing specific contracted shops), and HazMat Distribution Service Centers (HDSCs).
