New Course Catalog Course Description

COURSE: WMGT 595 Staff Engineer Leadership

OBJECTIVE:  For each student to comprehend engineer roles and responsibilities while serving in a staff billet above the tactical level (e.g., service component, JTF, MAJCOM, NAF, forward operating agency).
DESCRIPTION:  In this course, students will learn how to apply leadership principles to the responsibilities of a staff engineer. Topics include Global Force Management, Civil Engineer governance, staff planning products, and up-to-date organizational mission briefs. The course is self-paced online with approximately 8-12 hours of content.

CEUs: 2.0
PRIMARY AUDIENCE:  Civil Engineers (E-5 – E-9; O-2 – O-5; and DoD Civilians) serving in or selected to serve in an engineer staff position.
SECONDARY AUDIENCE:  None.
PREREQUISITES: None
