OBJECTIVE:
For each attendee to gain an understanding of the contractual aspects of planning, organizing, preparing, and managing the provisions of EQ contracts to satisfy Air Force requirements in the most efficient and effective manner.
DESCRIPTION:WENV418 has been removed from the course catalog and will no longer be offered. Students who need to have WENV418 will need to take WMGT421. The environmental components of contracting have been added to that course.
This course increases the capabilities of environmental personnel to prepare and manage Environmental contracts. The fundamentals of govt contract preparation are emphasized, for example, determining acquisition strategies, type of contract, source selection methods, contract vehicles, small business policies, funds management and acquisition drivers. The process of writing SOWs and PWSs are presented and applied. Emphasis is placed on AFCEC processes and policies. The fundamentals of managing contracts, such as modification, scope, surveillance, documentation, and remedies are stressed. The course will address execution agents such as AFCEC, GSA, the US Army Corps of Engineers, local contracting and other ordering agencies. NOTE: This course will require approximately 10 hours of online work prior to attendance.
