New Course Catalog Course Description

COURSE: WMGT 101 Air Force Civil Engineer Officer Basic Course

OBJECTIVE:  Each student is prepared to lead as a junior civil engineer officer.
DESCRIPTION:  In this course, students will apply leadership principles to the responsibilities of a junior civil engineer officer. Topics include doctrine and organization, engineering fundamentals, infrastructure planning and operations, and base response and recovery. Throughout the course, students will apply Mission Command principles in group practicums and activities. The course ends with a 10-day capstone event at the Silver Flag Exercise Site, Tyndall AFB, FL: Contingency Response Installation Support Initial Skills (CRISIS).

Upon completion of the course, students are awarded the Civil Engineer Basic Badge.
