OBJECTIVE:  Each student is prepared to lead as an intermediate civil engineer officer.

DESCRIPTION:  In this course, students will apply leadership principles to the responsibilities of an intermediate civil engineer officer. Topics include organizing, training, and equipping teams and planning, operating, and recovering air bases. Students will apply concepts within discussions, cases studies, and practicums. This course consists of two phases: distance learning (DL) and in-residence. The DL phase is self-paced with approximately 25 hours of content. Students will be required to meet milestones and to schedule sessions with their assigned O-6 mentor. The DL phase is immediately followed by a two-week in-residence phase at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH. The in-residence phase is structured around group-based practicums. Offering dates below are inclusive of both DL and in-residence phases. This course is a mandatory requirement for wear of the Civil Engineer Senior Badge (optional for Year Group 2018 and older).
