Internships
AFIT offers a number of internships each year for undergraduate participants interested in multi-disciplinary research and graduate studies in the areas of radiation detection, nuclear weapons effects, radiation transport, nonproliferation, remote sensing, optics research, and machine learning.
Candidates must be U.S. citizens. New hires must be eligible to obtain a Secret security clearance.
There are incredible opportunities for a funded internship to perform advanced research at a top-notch graduate institution. May 2025: AFIT finalizes intern selections.
May - August 2025: Selectee is hired and begins work as an AFIT research intern.
