Nuclear 399: Advanced Nuclear Studies

Nuclear 399 is a capstone competency assessment for the validating, awarding, and codifying of the AFIT School of Strategic Force Studies' micro-credential (micro-certificate) in Advanced Nuclear Studies. This micro-credential affords mid-level experienced nuclear mission professionals with a culminating advanced proficiency-level credential representing over 100 hours of synchronized and deliberate Nuclear Professional Continuing Education (NPCE) education. Students must proficiently express, analyze, advocate, and apply nuclear enterprise concepts, themes, theories, and processes garnered from prerequisite NPCE courses. Nuclear mission professionals may use this micro-credential to signify a higher-level of nuclear mission knowledge, comprehension, and application. MAJCOM talent managers may use this micro-credential to identify, place, and further develop high-quality nuclear mission professionals as needed to support the Air Force Nuclear Enterprise and its trillion-dollar modernization efforts.
