WGM 101 - Introduction to Wargaming Air, Space, and Cyber Powers

Video placeholder

WGM101 introduces students to the purposes, components, and processes of professional wargames focused on the strategies and application of air power, space power, and cyber power. The course uses a notional Joint Forces Air Component Commander (JFACC) level wargame to highlight course concepts. Professional wargames typically serve either an analytical or educational purpose. Professional wargames are diverse in construct but, regardless of the purpose or construct, share common components. Finally, professional wargames utilize common processes, which serve the purpose and objectives of the specific wargame. In addition, students will learn common terminology and practices for applying wargaming to provide analysis of strategic, operational, and tactical problems in the face of an active adversary; and to enhance education in the application of air, space, and cyber powers in a Joint All- Domain operating environment.
