Operational logistics. What does that mean and how does it apply to you? In most cases, your answer is going to depend on your current job and where it fits within the logistics picture. But first, do you understand how your job fits within that picture?
What impacts do your daily tasks have, both locally and Air Force wide? And how do decisions made up and down the logistics chain impact your ability to carry out your responsibilities?
LOG 099, 199, 299, 399 and LOG 262 are here to answer those questions and so many more. This series of courses can help you understand how you fit into the larger Air Force logistics picture. They cover topics such as logistics fundamentals, cradle-to-grave logistics, combat logistics, strategic logistics, and production operations management.
Since each course has a slightly different focus, they can be taken in any order.
As a logistician, you need to continually broaden and enhance your knowledge. These courses are designed not to teach you what to think, but how to think and work through complex situations all logisticians face. All of these courses are open to enlisted, officer, and civilians in the Maintenance, Logistics Readiness Squadron, and medical logistics career fields.
While LOG 099 is available as an online course, the rest are live classes—so look for an offering coming to a base near you and sign up today. For more information on these courses, course schedules, and all the courses AFIT offers, go to www.afit.edu/ls.
