Mr. Sam Pennartz

Sam E. Pennartz

AFIT alum Sam E. Pennartz was recently appointed to be a Government Site Manager under the Department of Defense (DOD) Civilian Expeditionary Workforce (CEW) Program.  As such, Mr. Pennartz provides surveillance and reporting to a Contract Oversight Team (COT) assigned to U.S. Forces-Afghanistan (USFOR-A), Theater Aviation Sustainment Maintenance Group (TASMG), deployed to Kandahar Air Field (KAF) in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF).  Mr. Pennartz is a former USAF avionics technician and aircraft maintenance officer, and also functions as a Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) to ensure Quality Assurance inspection for Aviation Intermediate Maintenance (AVIM) on U.S. Army helicopters.

Mr. Pennartz has an extensive aerospace and defense background and specializes in acquisition and sustainment logistics engineering, enterprise resource planning, and industrial production management.  He is experienced in aircraft systems, avionics, jet engine maintenance, manpower analytical studies, supply chain management and logistics IT solutions. Mr. Pennartz has over 20 years of experience in technical project management, to include the system and software development life cycle processes. He earned an Advanced Professional Designation in Logistics Management from the International Society of Logistics Engineers and was awarded the USAF Air Mobility Command Lieutenant General Leo Marquez Award.
