For online courses, completion dates on the certificate may lag actual completion dates, therefore students may have completed the course on a date earlier than what is on the certificate.
The two-day instructor-led course, or the 4 days VIRR option, is designed for Air Force personnel as a foundational hands-on course. Students will apply Data Analytics techniques to solve case-based problems in a laboratory environment. Students will gain a basic understanding of conducting statistical analysis using Microsoft Excel® and several representative case studies/exercises on using data analytics to describe, diagnose, and predict various operations management challenges. Students will learn how to manipulate a large data set, including descriptive statistics, pivot tables, charting and visualization techniques, formulas, text manipulation, data tables, concatenation, and parsing. Graduates will obtain immediate tools they can use to increase their job performance and Data Analytics acumen.

Special Requirements: The live on-line MS Teams version of DAS 201 will last 4 days and will require about 16 hours in total to complete. Each of the first 3 days will be Instructor- led presentations, Group Exercises via live MS Teams session from 1000-1500 Eastern Time. Day 4 will be from 1000-1530 ET, adding an additional 30 minutes for Next Steps, and Course Wrap-up. Students are required to have a computer with a microphone and will be required to test MS Teams access prior to the offering. Dual monitors are preferred as we will be using MS Excel as our Data Analytics software interactively and MS TEAMS for the video presentations/screen shares. IMPORTANT NOTE: Access the MS TEAMS via the WEBAPP option and connect outside of VDI. DO NOT use your CVR Accounts of MS TEAMS to access the course.
