The AFIT/LS Education Integration cell provides Cyber, Program Management, System Engineering, and Maintenance & Logistics technical research and analysis. This research is used by varying Air Force organizations in preparing educational need statements that assess and define educational gaps, vulnerabilities, and areas for improvement within the Acquisition and Logistics arena.
Curriculum R&D enhances the School of Systems & Logistics’ ability to meet the training demands of the Air Force with Just-In-Time (JIT) education so that weapon systems platform developers, PEOs, and program managers can meet the acquisition challenges of today and beyond. In conjunction with the School’s faculty, AFIT/EN faculty, and Acquisition organization sponsors, the research arm of AFIT/LS provides curriculum development that will be beneficial from grass-root Logisticians up through the Senior Leaders level.
The AFIT/LS integrated course of studies is continually updated and refreshed based on research and curriculum development so that LS is in step with the educational requirements of the Department of Defense and the projected academic needs of the Acquisition community.
