This course is an outstanding opportunity to learn or refresh on issues and initiatives impacting experienced acquisition and support professionals. Topics vary from class to class, in part to reflect the most recent changes, but also to accommodate the schedules of expert guest speakers. The course enables students to listen to and engage with the experts, there is generally a different speaker or facilitator for each topic presented. The course is a wonderful opportunity for students to learn from one another as they gather together from different functions, jobs, bases, and backgrounds to share knowledge and experience during roundtable discussions. Students thus benefit from exposure to the wide range of current topics in the acquisition and support arenas, helping to assess the impacts to their roles and responsibilities.

Special Requirements: There is no TDY funding for student travel for this course when held as a live classroom offering. * LIVE STREAMING OFFERINGS: This is a web seminar version to be viewed over your computer. The course is live streamed via MS Teams and students will meet to participate in the offering. Live streaming offerings will be held in one-half day sessions, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday for two consecutive weeks. See dates in schedule below. All broadcasts originate from our AFIT studios at Wright Patterson AFB OH or via guest presenters’ offices or homes and are broadcast from 1300 to 1615 Eastern Time each Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday during the scheduled dates. Prerequisites: No hard and fast prerequisites. WSYS 400 is intended for experienced mid-level managers. Generally senior captains, field grade officers, and civilian equivalents with at least 10 years experience in acquisition and performing as mid level managers at Air Force product complexes, test organizations, laboratories, or headquarters from any MAJCOM take this course.
