Masters in Operational Logistics

Program Description

The OL program provides students with the basic concepts and principles of logistics management in order to understand logistics problems.  Upon completion, students are granted a Master of Operational Logistics degree.  The curriculum includes courses in statistics, inventory systems, transportation and strategic mobility, maintenance and production management, and economics.  All graduates of the OL program should be able to communicate effectively (oral and written, understand the principles and concepts of logistics management and where to apply them, analyze the impacts of changes in the defense transportation network on other functional areas within the total defense logistics system, understand acquisition logistics and integrated logistics support concepts to affect weapon system life cycles, and comprehend the role of the general logistician in the DoD and Air Force for planning, acquiring, distributing, supplying, and maintaining weapon systems.

Admissions Requirements

Degree Required: Any field

Mathematics Required: Calculus (integration and differential calculus) and statistics

Test Required: GMAT - 550; or GRE - 153V/148Q (within the last five years)

GPA Required: Overall - 3.0; Mathematics - 3.0; Major - 3.0

Waivers to the above criteria may be granted on a case-by case-basis. Therefore, individuals whose academic credentials fall below any of the above criteria are encouraged to apply.
