Major Christian Randall, Assistant Professor of Logistics and Supply Chain Management within AFIT's Graduate School of Engineering and Management's Department of Operational Sciences, was selected as the AETC 2014 Outstanding Air Force Logistics Readiness Field Grade Officer of the Year. 
Winning this award is acknowledgement and praise for his outstanding accomplishments while deployed in 2014.  Maj Randall led a joint staff supporting the Air Training Command while deployed in Afghanistan during Operation ENDURING FREEDOM.  As a Senior Logistics Advisor to the Afghan Air Force (AAF), he trained, advised and assisted in the development of the AAF supply chain while collaborating with stateside offices to address current and future AAF sustainment shortfalls and requirements.  He also served as the J4 representative on Afghan National Security Forces budget workgroups where he directed a 15-member joint logistics team during a $6 billion AAF build. 
Maj Randall is an AFIT alum, earning his M.S. in Logistics Management in 2004 he has been a faculty member within the Graduate School since December 2012.  His research interests include supply chain management, disruption risk mitigation, collaboration and social networks, transportation, and distribution.
