AFIT Faculty and Collaborators Recognized for Best-in-Class Publication

Lt Col Tim Pettit, (MS in Logistics Management, AFIT; Ph.D. in Business Administration, The Ohio State University) a recent AFIT faculty member and current Assistant Professor of Management at the Air Force Academy, and his collaborators Dr. Keely Croxton and Dr. Joseph Fiksel from The Ohio State University, were recognized by the Journal of Business for their Top Paper of 2010.Research titled “Ensuring Supply Chain Resilience: Development of a Conceptual Framework.” The top 3 papers were selected from the past year’s pool of 26 published works on logistics and supply chain management.

This award was presented at the 2011 Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) Annual Conference in Philadelphia, PA. The CSCMP created the Bernard J. La Londe Best Paper Award to recognize the most valuable paper presented in the Journal of Business Logistics. The Journal of Business Logistics is a “Top 10” impact-factor journal in management for 2010 as evaluated by Thomson Reuters’ Web of ScienceSM .

Lt Col Pettit was an Assistant Professor of Logistics and Supply Chain Management in the AFIT Department of Operational Sciences from October, 2008 through June 2011. Lt Col Pettit is currently on faculty at the United States Air Force Academy, Colorado Springs, CO.
